![]() I would say it is the internet connection but the remote user has 400mgb internet and a 124 ping back to the main network gateway. The calls are choppy and robotic in nature. Now the remote user is using a softphone on their laptop and using a bluetooth headset. I was even connected to a hotspot from a phone on 4g the first time. Not sure what I did differently the first time. Scratching my head I gave up and tried to do the same setup as before on the laptop. I even tried making the bridged network use a static IP. I tried a couple phones and tried setting static IP address to see if that would work. While I was able to ping the ftp server and the MGC I could not get the shoretel phone to connect to anything. I bridged the networks and then started the vpn client. I used a wireless dongle to connect to the wireless network. ![]() I tried to replicate it on a desktop at a home office and it didn't work at all. I started the sonicwall global vpn client utility and connected back to the main network and the phone took off, found the ftp server and was good to go. I plugged the phone into the LAN port on the laptop and then bridged the wireless to the LAN port. Thanks for any insight you can give me on this.Well I got it to work great once on a laptop. How can this be? I dont understand? What is PCAnywhere doing is it somehow using my host file for his connection? I am running Vista. I bridged the networks and then started the vpn. I then reconnected for several hourse and everything worked like a charm. I started the sonicwall global vpn client utility and connected back to the main network and the phone took off, found the ftp server and was good to go. I disconnected and he soon lost his connection. I tested this to be sure that it really did work better only when PCAnywhere was connected. While I am connected to him, doing nothing but watching him work (he loads be a host and I connect), everything works PERFECTLY his connection never drops and everything runs very fast. You should see a line containing a route for your LAN throught your VPN interface. Windows 10 Client cannot access an SMB network share over the VPN, But, I can ping the. Asumming windows, execute route print in cmd. The VPN client is successful in connecting to the remote site. Now for the REALLY ODD thing
